Johnny Manziel Shows Speed At NFL Combine As QBs, RBs And WRs Work Out

INDIANAPOLIS (92.3 The Fan) – Johnny Manziel will wait to show off his arm, but on day 5 of the NFL Combine he showed his speed.

Manziel unofficially ran a 4.63 in his first 40-yard dash run before rolling off a 4.56 in his second run. His best time was officially adjusted to 4.68.

Fresno State’s Derek Carr is the second fastest behind Manziel running a 4.68 in his first run and shaved off .03 in his second run for an unofficial time of 4.65. His official time was 4.69.

Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater did not run Sunday.

Other “best” unofficial times from quarterbacks: Jordan Lynch 4.72, Tajh Boyd 4.75, Blake Bortles 4.81, A.J. McCarron 4.91 and Jimmy Garoppolo 4.93. The official times for the 4 were: Lynch 4.76, Boyd 4.84, Bortles 4.93, McCarron 4.94.
